Bringing the Whole Family In: How a Family Visit Day Works at Our Petaluma Chiropractic Office

Some days you get to walk into an appointment alone. Most days you do not. You have a baby on your hip, a toddler pulling your hand, and a big kid who has to be at practice by five. That is real life for families in Petaluma, Penngrove, Cotati, Rohnert Park, and all across Sonoma County.

So we built our visit day around that, not around a quiet waiting room that does not exist.

Here is exactly how a family visit works at Titan Chiropractic, start to finish, so nothing is a surprise.

Why we check the whole family, not one person

Your body is designed to work at 100 percent. The nervous system is the wiring that makes that happen. It is the brain, the spinal cord, and every nerve that branches out from there to the rest of you. It runs sleep, digestion, focus, mood, and healing, mostly without you thinking about it.

When that wiring carries too much stress, function slips. Symptoms are signals that the system is carrying more than it can sort through.

Think of the breaker box in your house. When one circuit takes on more than it can handle, the breaker trips. The power does not disappear. The connection does. A gentle adjustment is how we work on restoring that connection so the body can do what it already knows how to do.

That is true for a six week old and it is true for a thirty six year old. Which is why it makes sense to check the whole house rather than one room. You can read more about how we work with families of every age on our family chiropractic page.

Before you walk in the door

Book the family into back to back slots. Just tell us who is coming when you schedule and we will line everyone up together so you make one trip, not four.

Park right out front. We are at 1476 Professional Dr, and the lot is steps from the door. Strollers come in. Car seats come in. Diaper bags come in. Nobody has ever been told to leave the gear in the car.

Bring a snack and a water bottle for the kids if that makes your life easier. It usually does.

Paperwork happens once, at the very beginning, not every visit. After that, check in takes about ten seconds.

The first few minutes at the office

You walk in and say hi. We already know your names, and we know your kids’ names too. That is a small thing that makes a big difference when you are wrangling three people through a door.

Kids do not have to sit still and be quiet. They can move around. They can talk. Nobody is going to shush your toddler.

When it is your family’s turn, we call you back together. You are not separated from your kids at any point unless you want to be.

How we handle babies and toddlers

Babies stay in your arms for most of what we do. If your baby is sleeping, we work around the sleeping. If your baby is hungry, feed your baby. Nursing during a visit is completely normal here and nobody blinks.

The pressure we use on an infant is about what you would use to check whether a tomato is ripe. That is the whole thing. It is a light, specific contact held for a moment. Most babies stay asleep through it. You can see more about what that looks like on our pediatric chiropractic page.

Toddlers are a different game. Toddlers wiggle. We expect it, and we plan for it. Sometimes a toddler gets checked sitting on your lap. Sometimes it happens standing up. Sometimes it happens while they are holding a toy and telling us a long story about a dog. All of that works.

What happens when it is your turn

We use the Zone Technique. It starts with a quick head check at six contact points, which tells us which of the six systems in the body is carrying the most stress right now. Then we adjust the specific spinal points that connect to that system.

It is fast, it is specific, and it is gentle. You get a Zone Slip on the way out so you know what we found that day.

We are an adjustment office. The adjustment and the analysis behind it are what we do, and we do them well.

The scans, and why we run them again

We do not want to guess about your nervous system, and we do not want you to guess either. So before your care starts, we scan.

The INSIGHT scans give us three pictures. neuroCORE reads the electrical activity along the spine, the energy your nervous system is firing off. neuroTHERMAL reads the heat pattern down the spine, which is run by the automatic nerves that control your organs and glands. neuroPULSE reads the rhythm of your heartbeat, and it is the one that shows us the balance between the gas pedal and the brake.

Those three combine into one CORESCORE, a single number from 0 to 100. Then, weeks later, we scan again and compare. That comparison is the proof. We don’t guess. We test, adjust, and retest. There is a fuller breakdown on our INSIGHT scans page.

Scans happen at the start and at planned checkpoints, not every visit. A regular visit is short.

How long a family visit really takes in Petaluma

The first visit is the long one. Plan on about forty five minutes for a Day 1, because that is where the history, the scans, and your first adjustment happen.

After that, a regular visit for one person usually runs ten to fifteen minutes door to door. A family of four coming in together is often out in under half an hour.

Parents from Penngrove, Cotati, Rohnert Park, and the wider North Bay tell us that the drive is the longest part of the day. That is on purpose. A care plan only works if you can actually keep it, and you cannot keep something that eats two hours a week.

Is this you?

If you have been putting off bringing your kids in because you could not picture how it would work with all of them in tow, this is your answer. It works. It works with a newborn. It works with a three year old who does not sit down. It works when you are the one who needs care most and keeps putting yourself last.

Come see what your family’s nervous system is actually doing. You can schedule a visit online, or call us and we will get everyone booked together.

Strong. Clear. Unshakable. Built like a Titan.
