Your Zone Slip Explained: A Petaluma Parent’s Guide to the Six Zones We Check
Every time you leave our office, you get a small piece of paper. We call it your Zone Slip. It has six zones on it, and one of them is circled. Parents in Petaluma, Penngrove, and Cotati ask us about it all the time. What does the circle mean? Why did my zone change since last week? Here is the whole thing in plain words.
What the Zone Slip Is
The Zone Slip is a map of your visit. It shows which of the six zones we found out of balance that day, and which one we worked on.
We are not guessing. We check, we find the zone, we adjust, and we write it down. That slip is your record. Over weeks, it becomes a story you can read.
Why We Start at the Head
Before the adjustment, Dr. Reilly does a head check. He rests his fingers on six specific points on your head. Each point connects to one of the six zones.
This comes from the Zone Technique, a method that has been taught since 1931. The head check takes seconds. It tells us where your nervous system is asking for help today. Then we adjust the spinal points that match that zone. Four points per zone. That is it.
Zone One: Glandular
This zone covers the glands. Glands are small organs that make hormones. Hormones are the body’s chemical messages. They help set your energy, your mood, and your sleep.
When we circle Zone One, it means the nerves that talk to those glands looked stressed that day.
Zone Two: Eliminative
Elimination is how the body takes out the trash. The kidneys, the lungs, the colon, and the skin all do this job.
A circle here means the nerve signal to that cleanup crew needed a clearer line.
Zone Three: Nervous
This is the brain and the spinal cord itself. It is the master control. It runs mood, sleep, and focus.
Every zone touches the nervous system. But sometimes the control center itself is the one carrying the load.
Zone Four: Digestive
The stomach, the intestines, the liver. This is the zone that handles food, from the first bite to the last step.
In babies and little kids, this is a zone we watch closely. A small body is doing a lot of new work.
Zone Five: Muscular
Here is one we like to clear up. Titan does not rub muscles. We do not stretch, massage, or do soft tissue work of any kind.
This zone is about the nerves that tell muscles what to do. Muscles hold your posture. They hold your head up. When the signal running them is noisy, they work harder than they need to.
We adjust the spine. The nerves get a clear line. The muscles get a better instruction.
Zone Six: Circulatory
The heart and the blood vessels. This zone is about flow, about moving oxygen and fuel where the body needs it.
Think of the Petaluma River. When it runs clean, everything downstream does well.
Why Your Zone Changes Week to Week
Parents notice this one first. Your child was Zone Four in March and Zone One in April. Did something go wrong?
No. It means the body moved.
Picture the breaker box in your garage. When too much load hits one circuit, that breaker trips. The house still has power. That one room just went dark. Your nervous system does something similar. It protects itself by dialing one area down.
When we clear one zone, the system has room to show us the next one. A slip that changes is a body that is adapting. That is what we want to see.
Is this you? You have been adjusted somewhere before, but nobody ever showed you the reading behind it. That is the part we do differently here. Come see it for yourself.
How the Slip Works With Your Scans
The Zone Slip is the visit-by-visit picture. Your INSIGHT scans are the big picture.
Those scans give us three readings. neuroCORE reads the electrical activity along your spine, the energy your nervous system is firing off. neuroTHERMAL reads the heat pattern down your spine, the pattern run by the automatic nerves that control your organs and glands. neuroPULSE reads the rhythm of your heartbeat, and it is the one place we talk about a gas pedal and a brake.
All three roll into one number from 0 to 100. We call it your CORESCORE. Later in care we scan again and compare. We don’t guess. We test, adjust, and retest.
What to Do With Your Slip at Home
Keep them. Put them in a drawer or on the fridge.
After a month, lay them out on the table. You will start to see a pattern. Some families notice the same zone showing up on hard weeks. Others watch it spread out and settle down. Either way, you are holding real information about your own family.
Bring your questions to the next visit. We like these questions.
Is This You?
If you have a stack of Zone Slips at home and nobody has ever walked you through them, bring them in. We will read them with you, one by one.
And if you have never been in, this is what a visit here looks like. Short. Clear. Written down.
